The objective of the draft Guideline for the Preparation of a Notice of Intent is to provide project proponents with advice on:
- the role of an NOI in the environmental impact assessment process
- minimum information requirements to enable the NT EPA to make a decision on whether a proposal requires assessment under the Environmental Assessment Act.

The draft guideline has been amended to take into consideration comments received during the comment period.
