The Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority (NT EPA) develops a range of guidance material to assist and inform the community and businesses about the NT EPA's expectations and operations.
The following broad types of material are available:
- advice and reports in relation to environmental matters prepared in accordance with Part 3 of the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority Act 2012
- annual reports on the operations of the NT EPA and the Northern Territory's container deposit scheme
- information about the NT EPA's administrative policies, practices and procedures
- environmental management guidance to assist the public and to enable business to comply with the NT EPA's requirements.
The NT EPA has also endorsed a range of material prepared by other organisations for use in the Northern Territory. This material provides additional information on environmental protection, including the methodology for assessing environmental harm, that apply in the Territory.
