Core Exploration Limited has released the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Grants Lithium Project for six weeks for public review.
Core Exploration Limited proposes to develop an open-cut lithium mine targeting a pegmatite deposit containing spodumene (a lithium-bearing ore). Ore would be mined using drilling and blasting methods and processed using either crushing or screening to produce Direct Shipping Ore or a higher concentrate using additional processing. Mining is expected to occur for two to three years. The Proposal is situated approximately 24 km south of the Darwin CBD and 22km west of Berry Springs.
The draft Environmental Impact Statement is now available for public comment. Comments are to be submitted on or before COB 14 December 2018.
