The NT EPA or the Courts may require an environmental audit be undertaken in accordance with Part 6 of the Waste Management and Pollution Control Act 1998. A voluntary environmental audit may also be undertaken.
The NT EPA requires assessment of site contamination be conducted in accordance with the National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure 1999, for further information read the regulation of contaminated land.
