Daly River Road Pyrolysis Plant Project

Proponents: Mr Anthony Gurr and Ms Bao Huang

The proponents propose to construct and operate the Daly River Road Pyrolysis Plant, to process used tyres and plastic medical waste into:

• crude oil
• liquid propane gas
• steel and
• carbon char.

The proposed location of the facility is NT Portion 5216, in the Silkwood Estate, Daly River Road, approximately 30kms south of Adelaide River.

The NT EPA decided that the Daly River Road Pyrolysis Plant Project requires assessment under the Environmental Assessment Act 1982 at the level of an Environmental Impact Statement. The NT EPA has finalised and issued the Terms of Reference to Mr Anthony Gurr and Ms Bao Huang for the preparation of the Environmental Impact Statement.
