Groote Eylandt Mining Company Pty Ltd (GEMCO) is proposing to undertake mineral exploration and geotechnical assessments on the Southern Lease located within NT Portion 1632, approximately 10km south of Angurugu on Groote Eylandt, in the East Arnhem local government area.

The NT EPA invited public comment on the referral for standard assessment submitted by Groote Eylandt Mining Company Pty Ltd for exploration activities over the Southern Lease, located on NT Portion 1632, approximately 10km south of the township of Angurugu on Groote Eylandt.
The referral documents can be inspected and obtained below. Interested persons were invited to make a submission by 27 April 2023. The NT EPA publishes this notice in accordance with regulation 51(1) of the Environment Protection Regulations 2020.
