Overview

APA SPP Pty Ltd proposes to construct and operate a gas pipeline (Sturt Plateau Pipeline) in the Roper Gulf Region, approximately 50 km south of Daly Waters, and approximately 80 km north of Elliott. The proposal comprises approximately 40 km of buried gas transmission pipeline, receipt and delivery stations, a temporary construction camp, and operation and decommissioning of the pipeline.

Statutory notice (13 December 2024)

The NT EPA published a statutory notice on 13 December 2024 to invite public comment on a referral for standard assessment, submitted by APA SPP Pty to construct and operate a gas pipeline (Sturt Plateau Pipeline) in the Roper Gulf Region, approximately 50 km south of Daly Waters, and approximately 80 km north of Elliott.

Interested persons were invited to make a submission by 30 January 2025. The NT EPA published the notice in accordance with regulation 52(1) of the Environment Protection Regulations 2020.

In accordance with section 281(2) of the Environmental Protection Act 2019, some information within Appendix C and entire Appendix D have been withheld from publication.

The NT EPA decided on 11 March 2025 that an environmental assessment is not required.
